The increase is due to the fact that the income ceiling has been indexed to SEK 46,080 per month in 2018.

A 3% tax rate means:

If a household has an income of at least SEK 46,080 per month, the municipality may charge a maximum of SEK 1382 for children 1.

If a household has an income of SEK 25,000 per month, the municipality may charge a maximum of 750 SEK for children 1.
